In-Process Controls

« Back to Glossary Index

In-Process Controls (IPC) are monitoring and verification activities conducted during manufacturing or processing operations to assess and ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of products at various stages of production. IPC involves performing tests, inspections, measurements, or observations on raw materials, intermediates, or finished products to detect deviations, defects, or nonconformities and take corrective actions as needed. IPCs are critical for maintaining process control, identifying potential issues early, and preventing the production of defective or substandard products.
